Talis is building a new, innovative diagnostic platform to enable rapid testing across a wide range of healthcare settings. Learn and develop expertise on our firmware and embedded software requirements, in order to create automatable test scripts

Author basic functionality, stress, and reliability tests using state-of-the art tools, and novel in-house test fixtures

Document and perform root cause analysis on testing failures

Collaborate closely and clearly communicate test plans and results to cross-functional team members

Successful Candidate Profile

-BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 0-4 years of related experience

-Ability to solve open-ended engineering problems

-Quick learner 

-Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment

-Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills

-Experience coding/scripting in languages such as Python or MATLAB

-Experience with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and debuggers

-Hands-on experience finding and troubleshooting failures

-Attention to detail

-Curiosity and willingness to learn


Highly Desired

-Safety critical industries, such as Medical (preferred), technical consumer technology, or automotive

-IVD experience

-C or C++ARM, embedded systems, and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN

-Bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla 

-Familiarity with software development processes, such as IEC62304

-Experience working under ISO13485 design controls
